Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. ― H. Jackson Brown Jr.

Cayo Jutias

Avoid weekends, it is the island of the locals. This is how it looks like on Sunday. Anyway beautiful peninsula and you can reach by car.

Sri Pada - The Sacred Adam’s Peak - All You Need to Know About the Pilgrimage

Looks like you missed the best. To be at the top at sunrise you should start around 1:30 am. The beautiful scenery and landscape in the morning is rewarding for the thousands of steps you need to climb in the middle of the night. If you choose full moon (night of Poya) the hike itself becomes even better.

Rohrdommel-Projekt - Common Bittern Project

We prefer the evening, very view people and of course avoid the weekends. It's a successful project to give water birds home. There is also a 11.6 km hike through beautiful forest, along the De Wittsee (lake) and streams. Especially autumn and spring are perfect for this hike. The area itself is always worth a visit.

Tangkoko National Park - Nature Reserve

I’ve never been there but it looks like a must-go reserve for wildlife! Thanks, so fantastic!

It's the park, where the famous self-portrait of the crested black macaque monkey was shot. When the photographer left his camera unattended, the monkey grabbed it and took to a couple of self-portraits. The photos became public domain.

Praia da Adraga - Caves at Adraga Beach Close to Sintra

This time we came at high tide and could spot the arch only but none of the caves. The main reason was the lunch here. We tried the grilled polvo and sapateira (crab).

Cabo Espichel Farol

Such a beautiful place. We even spotted a school of dolphins. There is a restaurant now which offers different kinds of clams/mussels. The "lapas" were absolutely delicious.

Dusky Langurs in the Khao Sok National Park

Guided hikes make sense for the "narrow" trail and at Cheow Lan Lake. If you like to book a guided hike through Khao Sok at your accommodation ask first where the guide will walk with you. A guided trip cost 1.200 Baht for each person. Mostly guides walk along Khao Sok river but trail can be find easily.

Mount Hehuanshan - Sunrise | Weather | Winter Visit and Snow

It's a tremendous biological diversity and ideal for endemic bird watching with 35 different species. We spotted many birds around the hostel early morning and even at midday.

Hawaii - Volcanoes National Park

Currently, several fissures from Kilauea continues to be very active with a fast-moving channel flowing into the ocean. It is producing a large laze plume which we saw from a distance.
At the Kilauea Summit, several ash eruptions sent ash blowing toward the southwest and recently a gas explosion with a wave measuring a magnitude 5.3 affected the area. Although the road close to the National Park is still open, the National Park remains closed. The area around the street is wrapped in ash and looks like a dead planet. You can check the current status on the UCGS page https://volcanoes.usgs.gov/volcanoes/kilauea/status.html
